My wife and I have traveled to Las Vegas about 3 times and along the nostalgic Route 66 Highway in our 1976 Corvette. At our age it all brings back memories of the 50s and 60s when the highways were lite up with the glitter and brightness of neon lights and signs. Las Vegas is a city of Neon lights that radiates and sparkles the eyes when you stroll or drive along its sidewalks and roadways in front of spectacular billion dollar casinos. Many of these neon lights cost upwards of several million dollars and cost $10,000 a week just to maintain them in maintenance. Smaller one have hardly or no maintenance on them and last for years.

Although I do not personally gamble which is what comes to mind for many people when they think of Las Vegas. We enjoy seeing the sights, museums, casinos, awesome buildings and then rent a car and travel to the near by areas and see the many close by sights of California, Arizona and Utah. But that is a different post and a lot of story. This is about the beauty of Neon and its growing popularity for garages, games rooms and college dormitories.

Along route 66 many of those old signs are being restored as classics and Nostalgic Reminders of what made America great. The hotels, eating places, and souvenir stops all are reminders of of days gone past and the children who find them as another Walt Disney world of interest. Today you can get neon clocks with automotive, sports Betty Boop logos imprinted on them.

Many shops like the Open Neon, because it catches peoples attention and draws them into their business. There are metal signs and wood signs, but nothing raises the eyebrows like the beauty and color of neon in clock, signs, and decorations in red, blue, green, white and other colors. Mechanic, auto body and home garages are big fans of them as well as the sports fans.

The growing popularity of Neon especially in automotive neon, Sports Neon, Game room and hot rod and garage show items prompted me to start offering the same on my web site at BuyRiteShopper.com. We are constantly adding more and more new items daily and send them out to people who want to decorate their garage, game rooms, and other recreation rooms of their house.

Neon is just a glass tube filled with one of a dozen different gasses when a high voltage electrical charge from an enclosed transformer is sent through it. The gas gives off a color of the spectrum in green, red, blue, white, and other colors. Neon will last for many many years. I have two 8 foot Neon tubes from the 1983 when I was selling and installing signs. They are now in my garage in red and green lighting up the shop. I have several other styles I have recently purchased along with my Coke Cola table and chairs, signs, and records. All in all. Neon lights are still the radiant beauty they have always been but now they can be shaped into just about anything outrages attracting attention with a sparkle that cannot compare with other lights.
